Game Play
1. Form two teams and decide which one is team one and which one is team two. The oldest player on each team is the captain for the first round.
2. The captain of team two reads out the randomly chosen categories. The captain of team one picks a difficulty level, how long they want the answers to be, and the category they want to play. They tell their choices to the captain of team two.
3. The captain of team one decides the order of their team members for answering questions and tells them the order. The captain can be in the order too.
4. The captain of team two clicks on the category and a card is created. They read the question to team one. The first player in the order tries to answer.
5. If the player answers correctly, the next player in the order can choose to either answer another question or bank the points and end the round.
6. If the player answers incorrectly, team one loses the points they earned in this round and team two gets a chance to steal all the points that team one has banked so far. To steal the points, team two has to answer any one more question correctly from the same card. If they do, they get all the banked points and the round ends. If they don’t, team one keeps their banked points and the round ends.
7. Switch teams and repeat steps 2 to 6 until one team reaches a predefined number of points and wins the game.
8. After each team has played once, change the captains to new players. Repeat this until all players have been captains once. Then start from the top again.
Tips
* You can change the difficulty level freely to make the teams more balanced. Think of it as a handicap.
* The number of answers can affect your strategy. More answers can help you score more points, but they also make it easier for the other team to steal your points if you answer incorrectly. Think of it as risk vs reward.
* If playing remotely on Zoom, etc. the captains for that round can load up the page on their devices. Score will not be kept in the app, but a score keeper can keep track of the scores. Have everyone use the same room code so questions aren't repeated
